Stephen and Linda Farrand spent a weekend at a farm in Underberg, Southern Drakensberg, in 2008 and fell in love with the area.
After a year of looking they found their dream farm, on 90 hectares with a km of river frontage and a beautiful dam.
But the main beauty of the farm was its situation on the side of a hill with the most magnificent views they had ever seen. They sold their house in Johannesburg and moved to the Farm in 2009.
The farm is a real “Old MacDonald’s Farm”. At last count there were 12 cows, 50 sheep, 6 chickens and 3 horses. And on the shopping list is a little donkey, which must be gentle.
