Activities

Fly fishing

Either in the dam or down at the river.  Please bring your own fishing equipment.

•  Hiking

Easy walks are available on the farm across the grasslands, with stunning vistas across the valley and nearby mountains. For the fitter and more     adventurous, more strenuous walks can be arranged with a guide, who can take you on one of the many hikes into the nearby World Heritage site.

    Horse riding

Available in the area.

Mountain biking – Sani Spoors Mountain bike trails (www.sanispoors.com)

Bring your own bike and explore the many trails in the area.

    Swimming

This is an activity that we wouldn’t recommend for winter!  However, in the warm summer months, bring your costume and cool down either in the dam or the river.

    Tubing and Kayaking

This can only be done on the farm in the summer months when the river level is high enough.  However, the Umzimkulu River is close by and you can tube down this river most months of the year.

    Admiring the view

For those of you preferring more leisurely pursuits, we would suggest you bring a book, sit on the verandah and simply take in the awesome views.
